INGREDIENTS:
3-4 cups cooked chickpeas/garbanzo beans or two – 15 oz cans
1/3 cup garbanzo liquid (the liquid in the cans) or water
1/4 cup tahini
lemon juice of one lemon
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of cumin
1/2 teaspoon of garam marsala (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Place liquid, tahini, lemon juice, spices, and garlic cloves into your blender and give it a spin until all ingredients are combined, about 1 min.
- Gradually add chickpeas/garbanzo beans and olive oil to the mixture. Blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- Grab some pita bread, or homemade pita chips, veggies, boiled eggs, and enjoy!
